ALMANACH RECORD SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION IN ADAMAWA STATE NORTH EAST NIGERIA AND INDEED WEST AFRICA

Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency has Commended the International Committee of the Red Cross for their support to the people of Adamawa State, especially to the victims of humanitarian crisis in the state.
The Executive Chairman of the Agency made the commendation during the official handover of ALMANACH application which is the first of its kind in West Africa to the Primary Healthcare Agency by the Red Cross Society at the AUN hotel in Yola.
It is a memorable event the handing over of ALMANACH application for the overall development of the people of Adamawa State.
The ALMANACH (Algorithm for the Management of Childhood Illness) is an innovative, user-friendly mobile application that provides real-time and context -specified support for clinical decision-making.
In his welcome remark, the executive Chairman, Adamawa state primary Healthcare Development agency, Dr Suleman Saidu Bashir said the event is very imperative because of its impact to the people with the call on stakeholders to step up effort in the effective use of the ALMANCH tool.
The ICRC head of Service Department, said since 2015 the Nigerian Government and the Red Cross Society are not relenting in providing support to the victims affected by humanitarian crisis in Adamawa State.
He also revealed that the Adamawa state Primary Healthcare development agency has played an instrumental role in integrating the tool into the health system thereby guaranteeing better service delivery for primary healthcare for children across the state.
